Attorney Joel Goldberg is an attorney with Tyroler Leonard Injury Law, focusing on a wide variety of personal injury claims. He is a passionate, committed, and fierce advocate for each of his clients. He fights to protect those who are often defenseless.

Joel graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he studied Corrections and minored in Sociology and Ethnic Studies. After working as a probation officer in Hennepin County for two years, his interest in the law grew. Because of his growing commitment to the legal rights of every citizen, he started law school in Mitchell Hamline’s part-time evening program.

After his first semester of law school, Joel began working as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Gina M. Brandt in the Fourth Judicial District, a position typically reserved for law school graduates who have already passed the bar exam. Joel was willing to work tirelessly, and he spent the remainder of his law school tenure working as a Law Clerk by day and law student by night. He recognized it was a unique opportunity to gain significant legal experience as a student and to be mentored by a sitting judge.

Joel was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for receiving the highest grade in his Advanced Advocacy/Civil Litigation course. He was also an active member of the Mitchell Hamline Law Review and was frequently named to the Dean’s List. Because of his outstanding work ethic, he graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law cum laude.

Joel understands that injured clients often feel overwhelmed and intimidated by the legal system. He feels strongly that his legal knowledge and experience can make a significant difference in the lives of his clients, and he gets a great deal of personal satisfaction in seeing how positive results in cases can transform the lives of others. Whether handling a car accident case, slip and fall, or other personal injury claim, he spends as much time as is necessary to achieve the best possible outcome in every case.

In his free time, Joel enjoys lifting weights and working out at the gym, spending time with his wife, Cassie, trying new restaurants, and watching Minnesota Vikings football games (although sometimes this is not so enjoyable!). He is an active member of his community.
